人稱「阿三哥」的張三在中了第一特獎後，一夜致富。鄰居麗英建議他去競選議員，於是阿三哥穿起西裝，沿街拜票，好友們也義氣相挺。開票結果出爐，阿三哥不幸落選，身旁好友們紛紛鼓勵他：只要努力，有朝一日一定會成功。
San goes from rags to riches after winning the lottery. His neighbor, Li Ying, encourages him to run for office. To campaign, he dons a suit and goes door to door, with his friends offering their unwavering support. Although the result is disappointing, his friends assure him that with hard work, success will come one day.

A clumsy waiter shines on the skating rink, teaching rude customers a lesson and impressing a lady. Charlie Chaplin blends humor and elegance in one of silent cinema's iconic moments. Lin Tuan-Chiu's early works, inspired by Chaplin, portray working-class characters and enrich Taiwanese-language cinema.
